Aircraft Liability:
This coverage provides you with a paid legal defense should you be sued for bodily injury, or property damage arising out of the ownership, maintenance or operations of your aircraft which are listed on your policy. Should a judgment be granted against you, the insurance carrier will pay on your behalf all sums which you are libel for up to the policy limits for this coverage.
Aircraft Hull Coverage:
This provides "all risk" physical coverage for your owned or leased aircraft which are listed on your insurance policy. The deductibles apply to this coverage and vary insurance company to insurance company.
Aircraft Medical Coverage:
This coverage is designed to pay for minor injuries (bodily injury) which arise out of the operation of your aircraft. This helps avoid litigation for minor claims. Medical limits normally range form $1,000 to $10,000 each person.
Some Optional Coverage's
Non-Owned Aircraft Liability:
This coverage provides a paid legal defense should you be sued for bodily injury, or property damage (excluding damage to the aircraft itself) arising out of your use of a non-owned aircraft. This provides protection while you are doing Maintenance Test Flights (including pick up & deliver), Part 91 Pilot Services, and Flight Instruction in aircraft which are not owned by, or leased to you. Should a judgment be granted against you, the insurance carrier will pay on your behalf all sums which you are libel for up to the policy limits for this coverage. This does not provide any protection for the party who owns the aircraft which you are operating. Not all types of aircraft are covered so you would need to see the policy provisions for descriptions of the types of aircraft which are covered.
Non-Owned Aircraft Damage Liability:
This optional coverage provides liability for damage to an aircraft which is not owned by, or leased to you, while the aircraft is in your care, custody and control (i.e.. maintenance test flights or pick-up/deliver, giving dual). It pays only for damages which you are legally responsible for. This coverage is not to be confused with hull insurance, it is a liability coverage and only pays if the loss was your fault. This coverage can also be written on an Airport General Liability policy and is known as In-Flight Hagarkeepers Liability.
Student/Renter Pilot Liability:
This coverage provides your renter pilots with a paid legal defense should they be sued for bodily injury, or property damage arising out of their operation of your aircraft which are insured on your policy. Should a judgment be granted against them, the insurance carrier will pay on their behalf all sums which they are libel for up to the endorsement limits.
Spare Parts/Equipment Coverage:
This coverage provides physical coverage for loss or damage to your aircraft spare parts which are owned by you.
Cargo Legal Liability:
This part provides liability coverage for damage or destruction of cargo while being transported in one of your insured aircraft, including the loading and unloading of it.
